In March, Europe imported 12.5GW of #photovoltaic modules from China, an increase of 49% from the 8.4GW in February and a 76% increase from March last year. In 2023, a total of 29.5GW of PV compared to the same period last year.

Affected by the energy crisis brought about by the Ukrainian-Russian War last year, the demand for PV in the European market has increased significantly and has driven the growth of the global PV market. The demand has picked up rapidly, and it was originally a relatively low season in the local area from January to March, but instead, large-scale purchases were made, and its strength even far exceeded the level of the peak season in 2022.

In addition to the Netherlands, which is a transshipment hub in Europe, and Germany, where demand growth has always been strong, it is also expected that countries such as Spain and Poland, which have developed rapidly in recent years, will further drive the growth of PV demand in Europe in 2023.
